As a result of our partnership with the Newcastle Theate Royal, we were given 60 free tickets for parents, children and staff and governors to see the RSC's productions of Henry IV and Part I.
For many of the children and parents, this was the first time they had been to the theatre together.  Many of the families who attented speak English as an additional language and afterwards said how much they had enjoyed the experience of being in such a beautiful building and seeing a live performance of Shakespeare, even though the language was difficult.
As well as seeing live Shakespeare, staff and pupils also had the opportunity to visit the Newcastle Theatre Royal to see other productions including the Scottish Ballet's Cinderella, Rebecca and the Two Worlds of Charlie F.
